    CRAFT Beer Market Celebrates a Stampede’ish Affair

    Calgary, AB – A well-known and longstanding homegrown restaurant won’t let the lack of rodeo and midway dampen their Stampede spirit. Today CRAFT Beer Market announced 10 days of Stampede’ish; a celebration of the spirit of Stampede. 

    “The Stampede is a part of the city’s fibre,” says Alison Robertson, Director of Brand & Communications for CRAFT Beer Market. “As a born and bred Calgary company, the Stampede and the spirit surrounding that event are an important part of who we are.”

    Over the last 9 years the restaurant has been a small, yet important, landmark for the 10-day festival with many people hosting their Stampede parties at CRAFT. Although this year’s event will be a little different as a result of social distancing rules in response to COVID-19, both CRAFT locations in the city – Downtown and Southcentre – will feature hay bales, wagon wheels, boots, hats, and toe-tappin’ country tunes. 

    They have also released limited edition Stampede’ish t-shirts to mark what would have been the 108th annual Calgary Stampede. 

    “We wanted to give our guests an opportunity to celebrate even though things are a little different this year,” says Robertson. “Our Team will be decked out in cowboy boots and hats and we look forward to people dusting off their boots to join us.”

    Stampede-ish will run from July 3rd to 10th, just like the real thing would have. Despite the lack of a midway, chuckwagon races and the rodeo, the goal of the event is to give the city’s faithful a chance to do some Stampeding in 2020.
